Front-end tool
COI Request Email Generator
Draft a certificate of insurance request email to send to an insurance agent.
This is not a quote, coverage recommendation, or application. Entries stay in your browser and are not sent to HaulCover.
When to use this tool
Use this tool when a freight broker, shipper, or customer sends a certificate of insurance request and you need to forward it to your agent. Certificate requests often include specific additional insured language, waiver of subrogation requirements, or loss payee wording that cannot simply be forwarded as-is—the agent needs to confirm whether the current policy supports each piece of requested wording before issuing the certificate.
The generated email asks the right questions: it requests confirmation of wording that may require an endorsement, a policy change, or additional premium, and asks what alternative wording is available if the requested language cannot be issued. This avoids the common problem of promising certificate wording to a broker before confirming it with the agent.
What the output is
The output is a draft email to copy and send to your insurance agent. It is structured around the certificate holder name, needed date, and wording requested. The draft is generated in your browser and is not stored or transmitted by HaulCover.
What it does not replace
This tool does not confirm whether the requested wording is available under your policy. Only your agent or insurer can do that. Do not forward the generated draft directly to the broker or certificate requester—it is addressed to your agent, not to the requesting party. See certificate holder vs additional insured for background on common certificate wording issues.
